When I was a kid, I looked forward to finishing school so I can start earning some money and be free. Of course, that was not the end of story. As time goes by, I find life doesn't get any easier. If my sixth sense is accurate, things should turn around after I turn 40. It'd be nice if things can get better sooner. In the mean time, I travel and eat good food as much as I can! It's good to have something to look forward to...especially if it's a good life ahead of me.

Venice -> Florence, Italy
12-Aug 2010 Really enjoyed Venice. Moving on to Florence. Discovered changing train reservation is free, so I left Venice 1 hour early at 10:27am. Saved me from trying to kill time lugging my suitcase.
Lido, Italy 11-Aug 2010
Lido is only 15 minutes ferry ride away from Venice. It reminds me of Watson's Bay in Sydney, Australia. It is very different from Venice. I kinda think it's the Hawaii of Venice.

Venice, Italy - Day 3
11-Aug, 2010
Had a double scoop gelato (celery & arugula at Alaska Gelateria) and a
yellow peach for lunch today. Saving myself for a decent dinner.
Walked from train station to San Marco area after visiting the Palazzo
Ducale and Museo Correr in the morning. Of course I got lost again.
That's a given! This is only day three in Italy and my legs are
completely spent already. On the way to Lido (4:30pm) for a late
afternoon sun bathing session and get some rest for my poor legs.

Venice, Italy - Day 2
9-12 Aug 2010
Venice is special. Nowhere else can even come close to it. Atteneded a
String Quartet concert featuring Vivaldi. Enjoyed it a great deal. Should
probably attend more of these performances back home. Getting lost is
part of daily activities. Fortunately, I can always find my way in
the end.
