Can I live without a microwave oven?

I don't use it everyday. When I try to heat up some oatmeal tonight, the microwave oven decided to break down on me! Should I get a replacement? My kitchen is not that big, so having 1 less appliance would be good for the space. Without it, I no longer have the convenience I'm so used to. To buy, or not to buy?
